AN URGENT APPEAL TO HELP BREAK THE SIEGE OF GAZA

We desperately need your help. It's with heavy hearts that we have to inform you that the Free Gaza ship, the DIGNITY, has been lost outside Larnaca port in Cyprus. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident

On 30 December 2008 the DIGNITY was rammed by the Israeli navy while on a mission of mercy to deliver critically needed medical supplies and doctors to the war-ravaged Gaza Strip. Thanks to the heroic efforts of its captain and crew, the DIGNITY was able to find safe harbor in Lebanon, later making its way to Cyprus for repairs. Early this morning we received a call from the Harbor Master in Larnaca, informing us that the ship was taking on water. While attempting to tow her to safety, the ship went down. An inquiry has begun into the circumstances surrounding her demise, possibly due to storm damage suffered during the night.

To date, the Free Gaza Movement has organized seven voyages to Palestine, successfully arriving in Gaza Port five times. We have brought dozens of human rights workers, journalists, parliamentarians, and others to Gaza, as well as tons of desperately needed medical and humanitarian supplies. Free Gaza boats are the first international ships to sail to the Gaza Strip since 1967.

None of this would have been possible without you, our friends. Your emotional, political, and financial support is the foundation of all our successes.

حزب الله زار جبهة العمل: فوز المعارضة هو اسقاط للفتنة

زار وفدٌ من حزب الله برئاسة رئيس المجلس السياسي السيد ابراهيم امين السيد جبهة العمل الاسلامي برئاسة الداعية فتحي يكن،

والحديثُ تمحورَ حولَ الانتخابات، والتعليقِ على موجةِ التحريضِ الممنهجةِ التي بدأها البعضُ في فريقِ الرابعَ عشرَ من آذار.

على مقربة اسابيع قليلة من الاستحقاق الانتخابي تتواصل اللقاءات والمشاورات بين اركان المعارضة وأطيافها، وفي هذا الاطار تأتي زيارة وفد حزب الله برئاسة رئيس المجلس السياسي السيد ابراهيم امين السيد لرئيس جبهة العمل الاسلامي الداعية فتحي يكن في كلية الدعوة لوضع اللمسات الاخيرة لا سيما ان المستجدات على الساحتين المحلية والاقليمية تتسارع وتيرتها، وبالتالي لا بد من تهيئة الظروف الملائمة امام المعارضة لنجاحها في معركتها الجديدة.

وقال السيد "ان هذا النجاح يشكل عاملا ايجابيا في تحقيق مشاركة حقيقية فيما بين اللبنانيين في ادارة البلد مقابل منطق الاستئثار والالغاء والارتهان الى الخارج فالمعارضة نجاحها مصلحة لكل اللبنانيين وكل من يريد الاستقلال والسيد العزة والكرامة.السيد ورداً على سؤال بعث بإشارات ضمنية الى رئيس الحكومة فؤاد السنيورة والنائب سعد الحريري حول مواقفهما التصعيدية وما تتضمن من لغة بعيدة عن التهدئة وشاطره الداعي يكن توجيه الملاحظة عينها. وقال "هذا كمن يلعب بالقنبلة وهو لا يحسن استعمالها فتنفجر به وتحرقه قبل ان تحرق غيره".

من جهته قال يكن ان هذا "نوع من الافلاس السياسي عندما لا يجد الانسان الرصيد الجديد عنده يستحضر من الرصيد الماضي ما يقدمه

للناس وهذا من دلائل الافلاس".يكن أوضح ان فوز المعارضة هو اسقاط للاقانيم الثلاثة: الشرق الاوسطية، اسرائيل الكبرى، والفتنة المذهبية. وقال "المطلوب من اللبنانيين جميعا بكل قطاعاتهم وقواهم ان يسقطوا ذلك حين يسقطون في صناديق الاقتراع في السابع من حزيران ان يسقطوا هذه المشاريع باقتراعهم الكثيف لمرشحي المعارضة والمقاومة على امتداد الساحة اللبنانية".اللقاء الذي حضره كوادر من جبهة العمل الاسلامي، ومن بينهم المرشح عن المقعد السني في الدائرة الثالثة في بيروت الشيخ عبد الناصر جبري، أفضى الاتفاق على استمرار اللقاءات عبر لجان مشتركة للتشاور والتدارس في امور تعني المعارضة بكل اطيافها.
